‘Melodies of the World’ Festival

Al Qasba is proud to announce the launch of the Musical Festival that will be held between 22nd and 31st December which is titled “The World of Melodies”. The festival will have a folkloric theme and will include the participation of groups from different countries and live musicians on Al Qasba’s outdoor theatre.
The performing groups include representatives from various countries such as United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Egypt , India, Japan and Thailand. The other countries whose cultural treasures will be presented at this festival include Spain, Italy, France, Greece, UK, Turkey, Brazil, US and Mexico. The musical performances will have bands of four professional musicians, playing classical music and the Andalusian classical music which is rich in authenticity and heritage. There will be live sketches of solo instruments such as violins, flutes and saxophones, played by a group of musicians specialized in these instruments. Entertaining Musical Chairs Competitions are also included in the festival in the form of Musical Chairs with exciting prizes to be won!

The festival will also incorporate a lot of audience interaction in order to let the visitors immerse themselves in the musical offerings and to urge them to “Be part of it”. the performances will run from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm every day on an outdoor stage in block-D in Al Qasba..
The main aim behind organizing this festival is to educate the visitors about the various cultures from different countries and most importantly, the origins of the music which is native to these countries.
We invite you to come and experience a medley of cultures and a fusion as never seen before!
